Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the position of Projects Engineer reporting to the Manager – Product and Services Development whose key characteristics are mentioned below.

Purpose of the Job:

• To conduct assignments in water and wastewater operational environments, implement complex projects and make recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational / Commercial and Process Engineer Support
• Process Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Current & New Processes, Chemicals and Equipment at laboratory scale
• Research and Project management
• ISO, Health, Safety and Environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric with BSc (Hons) (NQF 8) in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Applied Chemistry.

Minimum Experience:

• At least a minimum of 3 years’ experience in process engineering environment.

Technical and Functional Competencies:

• Extensive knowledge of the chemistry and biochemistry of water and waste water treatment and be able to design of laboratory scale experiments
• A thorough understanding of analytical laboratory operation and analytical methodology related to water and waste water treatment
• Knowledge of process chemicals and usage in the water/waste water industry
• Computer literate in Microsoft office and a Laboratory Management system
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and standards * Good report writing and presentation skills
